FEATURES & BENEFITS

Nutri-Shurâ„¢ Nutrient Assurance Program

Co-op's Nutri-Shurâ„¢ Nutrient Assurance Program is a complete multi step program that provides you with the knowledge that our products are manufactured, formulated and tested to deliver the nutrients you expect.

No Added Copper

13% Pelleted All Purpose Sheep Feed contains no added copper. Sheep are less tolerant of excess copper than most livestock species. An excess of dietary copper can potentially cause death in sheep. Co-op helps to reduce that possibility by not adding copper to sheep diets.

Pelleted Form

Research has clearly demonstrated that the pelleting process creates a more digestible product, allowing ewes and lambs to derive more net nutritional benefit as compared to the same quantity of the same feed in mash form. This provides for improved feed efficiency while reducing dust and feed waste.

Supplemental Protein

Protein is necessary to facilitate muscle growth, tissue development, immune function, weight gain, milk production and reproductive processes. Feeding sheep only forages that are deficient in protein will result in poor performance and undesirable production results. 13% Pelleted All Purpose Sheep Feed provides the protein supplementation that is necessary when ewes are producing milk for their lambs.

Energy Level

13% Pelleted All Purpose Sheep Feed has been designed with an energy level that will work in harmony with the proteins and other nutrients to allow for milk production and maintenance of adequate body condition.

Added Minerals

Minerals are primary components of proper body structure, body maintenance and overall health. 13% Pelleted All Purpose Sheep Feed is well fortified with both macro and trace minerals, all in proper relationship to each other.

Added Vitamins

Vitamins A, D and E are added to help ewes remain healthy and maintain a robust appearance.

Ammonium Chloride

Ammonium chloride has been included to help acidify urine, which has been shown to help prevent urinary calculi. Thus, ammonium chloride is the source of the non-protein nitrogen in 13% Pelleted All Purpose Sheep Feed. The 13% crude protein in this product includes not more than 1.00% equivalent crude protein from non-protein nitrogen.

Complete and Balanced Nutrition

The health, high performance and robust immune system of a ewe and her lambs result from a combination of complete and balanced nutrition, such as provided by 14% Pelleted Ewe Lactation Feed, along with an effective vaccination program.

50 # Poly Bags

The 50 pound poly package helps maintain product freshness, package integrity and provides for ease of handling.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS

Acclimate ewes to 14% Pelleted Ewe Lactation Feed by feeding at 1% of body weight per day and increase gradually until ewes reach recommended level of consumption. Feed at least 0.75 lb of long stemmed hay per head per day to help maintain rumen health. To maintain lactating ewes, feed 14% Pelleted Ewe Lactation Feed at 3 to 4 lb per head per day adjusting level to condition of ewes. For heavy lactating ewes, feed 14% Pelleted Ewe Lactation Feed at 4 to 5 lb per head per day. Feed at far end of pen to encourage exercise. Watch for slow ewes as these are most likely to develop ketosis. Always have clean, fresh water available. Do not exceed 0.30 ppm supplemental selenium in the total ration.
