FEATURES & BENEFITS
Lasalocid – 30 g/ton
Lasalocid is for the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria ovina, Eimeria crandallis, Eimeria ovinoidalis (Eimeria ninakohlyakimovae), Eimeria parva and Eimeria intricata in sheep maintained in confinement.
Growth Formulation
Targeted nutrient levels are specifically designed for healthy, sound development and growth.
Mini-Pellet Form
Manufactured in a mini-pellet to promote consumption by young lambs.
Selenium yeast
Selenium is a critical element that has significant anti-oxidant activity in lambs. Selenium yeast is included in the formulation because of its improved bioavailability over other forms of supplemental selenium.
Protein and Amino Acid Balance
Protein is necessary to facilitate muscle and tissue development as well as weight gain. Proteins are made up of amino acids and while it is certainly critical to supply the total amount of protein, it is also important that individual amino acids be included in the proper quantities and relationship to each other. Pelleted Lamb Starter-BOV has been formulated to appropriately address all facets of the lamb’s protein/amino acid requirements so as to support all body functions.
Energy Level
18% Pelleted Lamb Starter has been designed with an energy level that will work in harmony with the proteins and other nutrients to allow for muscle and skeletal development while maintaining tissue health and avoiding excessive fat deposition.
Added Minerals
Minerals are primary components of proper body structure, body maintenance and wool quality. Pelleted Lamb Starter is well fortified with both macro and trace minerals, all in proper relationship to each other.
Added Vitamins
Vitamins A, D and E are added to help lambs remain healthy and maintain a robust appearance.
Ammonium Chloride
Ammonium chloride has been included to help acidify urine, which has been shown to help prevent urinary calculi. Thus, ammonium chloride is the source of the non-protein nitrogen in 18% Pelleted Lamb Starter – BOV. The 18% crude protein in this product includes not more than 1.00% equivalent crude protein from non-protein nitrogen.
Complete and Balanced Nutrition
A healthy, high performing lamb’s robust immune system is the result of a combination of complete and balanced nutrition, such as provided by Pelleted Lamb Starter, along with an effective vaccination program.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS
Feed 18% Pelleted Lamb Starter – BOV continuously at 1.00 to 4.66 lb per head per day to provide not less than 15 nor more than 70 mg of lasalocid per head per day depending on body weight. Start creep feeding when lambs are 7 to 10 days old. Feed with free-choice hay until lambs are 5 to 6 weeks old. Then switch to 16% Textured Lamb Grower-Finisher plus free-choice hay. Each lamb should consume 20 to 25 lb of 18% Pelleted Lamb Starter-BOV or weigh 50 lb before being switched to 16% Textured Lamb Grower-Finisher – CTC . Do not exceed 0.30 ppm supplemental selenium in the total ration.
CAUTION: The safety of Lasalocid for use in unapproved species has not been established. Do not allow horses or other equines access to feeds containing Lasalocid as ingestion may be fatal.
