FEATURES & BENEFITS
No Added Copper
Supreme Sheep Mineral contains no added copper. Sheep are less tolerant of excess copper than most livestock species. An excess of dietary copper can potentially cause death in sheep. Co-op helps to reduce that possibility by not adding copper to sheep diets.
Organic Zinc
Hoof hardness is classically associated with good hoof health and the subsequent reduction in the incidence of hoof problems in sheep. Zinc has been demonstrated to improve hoof hardness and overall hoof health. Therefore, Supreme Sheep Mineral contains a significant quantity of highly available zinc that is much more readily absorbed and effectively utilized in the metabolic processes of sheep.
Highly Palatable Formulation
Supreme Sheep Mineral is a highly palatable product. By their very nature, vitamins and minerals tend to be unpalatable ingredients. Co-op has directly addressed the “need for consumption” aspect in formulating Supreme Sheep Mineral. Only nutritive ingredients are formulated into Supreme Sheep Mineral, so as to accomplish the goal of being nutritionally beneficial while providing effective vitamin and mineral supplementation.
Selenium Yeast
Selenium is a critical element that has significant anti-oxidant activity in sheep and lambs. Selenium yeast is included in the formulation because of its improved bioavailability over other forms of supplemental selenium.
